Cupid has already found his mark this coming February, but on a grander scale as Park Insurance has opened up its heart to those in need. Organized by Chelsea Fitzpatrick, Vice President of Park Insurance, together with the The Honorable Order of the Blue Goose International (BC chapter), the Month of Caring is exactly as it sounds and more. Yes, there is a full slate of community outreach programs in place throughout the month, but Park is also encouraging the entire insurance industry to show support for this worthy cause. Below is everything you need to know, including information about how you may get involved.
Everything You Need to Know About February’s Month of Caring
Background
The Month of Caring program launched in February 2016 and has grown each year as we approach its fourth anniversary. The concept is simple – instead of just sending a Valentine to express love and affection for that special someone, we’ve challenged the entire insurance industry to give their heart and time back to the community. This initiative, spearheaded by Park Vice President, Chelsea Fitzpatrick, has been instrumental in organizing adjusters, underwriters, brokers, restoration crews, and other insurance professionals together into one cohesive unit to help make a difference in the lives of others.
What We Do
Volunteers do everything from stocking shelves at food banks and providing meals and clothing to taking the time to engage members of marginalized groups – those who often feel their voice is unheard. In fact, it’s within the act of opening the lines of communication where we have learned the most. It has helped us identify where the need is most critical and spearheaded new initiatives.
